This coffee table was designed and made for a customer with a large cigar room. The elliptical top size is 60” wide X 80” long with a total height of 22” The shape of the base is an art Nouveau style. This style was at its peak in France around 1910. Art Nouveau was inspired by natural forms such as flowers, trees, etc. My inspiration came from a Designer/furniture maker named Eugene Vallin 1856-1922. The top has a marquetry picture of a lake and trees with a water reflection. There are 450 different pieces of veneer to create the top marquetry. The elliptical shape of the top really help add to the Art Nouveau overall style of the coffee table.
